Tara & Kail’s Wedding

North East Victoria was certainly turning on the beautiful weather for the wedding of Tara and Kail at Feathertop Winery. The autumn sun providing warm soft light which is perfect for photographing the last of the autumn foliage. However, the weather was outdone by the warmth I felt on first meeting Kail’s charming family followed by Tara’s lovely family. The event really felt like the joining of two families who have so much in common in the love and adoration they share for their children.

Kail and his family prepared themselves for the wedding at luxury accommodation The Evening Star. It was very emotional with Kail’s mother so proud she was almost beaming as much as Kail. Incidentally, I got the best smiles out of Kail when I mentioned Tara’s name. With his mother pinning on the beautiful buttonhole by Bright Florist and expertise on the tie by his grandfather he was looking dashing and ready to go.

Tara chose her parents new family home for her preparations. When I arrived I came across the cutest scene of Tara, her maid of honour, and her mum all lined up at the mirror helping each other with tips while doing their own make-up. It didn’t take long and Tara was ready to put on her stunning gown. Tara looked exquisite as she elegantly walked out to see her father who was a little lost for words at the sight of his beautiful daughter.

The ceremony was held at Feathertop Winery in Porepunkah. The perfect location with a stunning elevated outlook across the vineyards to Mount Buffalo. The personal ceremony was conducted by Civil Celebrant Sian Holm. The couple couldn’t have looked happier as they took their vows.

A few family photographs and one or two in the vineyard and it was time to move on Wandiligong to continue the celebrations. Fairy Lights adorned the Historic Wandiligong Hall and the guests were enjoying the atmosphere outside. After Tara and Kail arrived everyone was welcomed into the Hall and an outstanding feast laid out by Bright’s Riverdeck Cafe. Chef Matt Richardson outdone himself with everyone enjoying the delicious banquet. This was finished off with a decadent cheese tower by the Milawa Cheese Company. A highlight of the evening were the heartfelt speeches of thanks and insightful stories that brought laughs and a few tears. It was very special to hear both Tara and Kail’s speeches as they were both so gracious and eloquent in their own words of love for each other.
